They'll probably be fairly pissed right now since they have found out that celibacy was not a command of their God, but a Papal decision that the current Popiness is able to rescind with the stroke of a pen. Bet he doesn't though, probably prefers to stroke something else..... Richest Church in the world with the poorest constituency, and still they suck money out of them. The Catholic Church was tithing the poor, the weak, the halt and the lame centuries before Destiny picked up on the idea. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Always wondered what the heads of these whacko churches really believe in, but clearly a few of them are con men just out to make a dishonest buck . Read James Randi's book The Faith Healers if you have any doubt about that . |

However, we can be grateful that there are many thousands of well meaning, honest decent people involved within church organisations both as adherents and part of the organisation's governance who are genuine motivated to do their best for their religion and mankind in general. The tragedy is that public perception from the good that is done by so many involved in religious organisations, and the organisations themselves is generally outweighed by the bad news of dishonesty, corruption and immoral behaviour of the bad eggs. The desire by Church Govenance to keep bad news out of the public arena, while deplorable, is quite natural because as everyone knows sh*t sticks longterm. |

Let's face it, organised religion has long forgotten its beginnings, and morphed into a giant moneymaking machine, with its own internal politics and general grubiness. When the final day arrives, I'm sure JC will do a reprise on the moneylenders and the temple theme. Starting with where it all got out of hand (the Vatican). |
