1145296 2010-10-15 23:43:00 Hi there all. Am over at a mates in Palmy. He has been made redundant when they closed the Palmy branch and he has aquired all the office gear including a Dell Latitude D610 laptop which has some things password protected in the bios. Is there anyway of defaulting the bios to get rid of them. mikebartnz (21)
1145297 2010-10-15 23:47:00 Some of these things are protected by a chip. So, if there's no way of removing it in the BIOS, you'll have to ask whoever put it there to tell you what the password is Speedy Gonzales (78)

Trouble is it is about 5 years old and acquired when the company was under the previous owner being Tyco so unless the paper work has been done it might not be easy.

It worked a treat but it was a little hard to decide which way they were looking at it when they said the three left pins.
