871277 2010-03-31 04:20:00 Thanks for Trev suggesting to me, I have been looking at getting away from Xnet.

With Xnet, ok maybe there were improvements on my line via the 3yrs. 3yr ago, I managed under 2Mbps. Hence I downgraded to their 256k speed.

Now, with Actrix I get over 4Mbps

Cannot wait to June when they wire us to ADSL2+ :clap

Their $29.95 is great FS/128, same price as Xnet but at 256/128.

Email changes done. Webhost deleted off Xnet prior to the transfer. Same day transfer, wow !!

Earlier today I did a speedtest with Xnet, I was roughly at 256/128 as I expected on my lines with my previous internet plan but the ping was 150ms.

871279 2010-03-31 04:31:00 How long until you get ADSL2+?
Please post here what it is like, because I am thinking about getting ADSL2 when I am wired up.

Will do that for sure :)
According to the Wholesale Telecom website, we get in June 2010. Some of them around my area have to wait to Dec 2011  we are about 1km away from Telstra. I know areas which are cheaper places and they already have ADSL2+ but they also have the Telstra cables laid out too ..

871284 2010-03-31 04:42:00 Hey just checked the wholesale site and it says that I am now in a 10 Mbps zone. But when I last checked the website there was no 10 mbps zone near me. Any ideas? nedkelly (9059)
871285 2010-03-31 04:45:00 Does Actrix have a usage monitor utility?

Why is it some ISPs now say FS is up to 4.5Mbit, but a few yrs ago, Telecom were advertising 7Mbit?
Nomad (952)
871286 2010-03-31 04:48:00 when you have a FLS/128 plan ISPs all limit the speed to 4-5 mbps. Something to do with TCP/IP.

due to the way TCP/IP works a 128k
upload limit will limit the download rate to ~4-4.5mbps.

Can you login and see it like xnet?
