1145434 2010-10-16 21:44:00 For the last few months I've been using "live mesh beta". It's been really useful for sharing 2 or 3 files between my PC and my son's i.e. files that are important to us both are always synced, no matter who updates them. I'm not talking about a lot of data here; a simple graphics application, probably no more than 40 mb's and a couple of excel files.
Live mesh beta, ceases to work after March 2011 and is replaced by Windows Live Mesh, which, apparently will not work with XP. I can't see my son upgrading any time soon.
I've looked at "Dropbox" as a solution, also "Opera Unite".
Any thoughts on this?

Thats ending soon, and being replaced by Live mesh.

No, I mean "live mesh beta". Live sync (which I haven't used) and live mesh beta, are about to be replaced by "live mesh".
Bummer really the new one won't work with xp, as the beta version suited us just fine. His computer would run any os you threw at it as good as gold. But he'd not agree absolutely, if I suggested upgrading.

1145437 2010-10-17 18:34:00 I've installed and started using Dropbox. It'll do what I require, as good as gold. jcr1 (893)
