| 872772 | 2010-04-04 09:19:00 | Hi all. I'm just wondering, is anyone round here using (or has tried) IE9? I've installed it (hell, I'm posting using it now) and it seems alright, although text seems a little rough (not sure what it is, but I think it's not being Anti-Alised (sp?)). Here's some screenshots of what I mean (with the program borders removed, to line it all up. They're all pixel-perfect, aligned to the top-left corner). IE 9 (www.imagef1.net.nz) Firefox 3.6 (www.imagef1.net.nz) Chrome (www.imagef1.net.nz) IE 8 (www.imagef1.net.nz) I noticed a couple smilies didn't load in IE 8 and Chrome, even after a couple hard-refreshes. Odd. Opinions? Comments? Edit: Holy crap, I knew IE9 was pre-alpha, but it doesn't even like those links I just put up! It opens 'em in FF! |

It opens 'em in FF is a bit on the harsh side. All the other browsers mentioned are "up to date" - IE9 has only just got out of the starting block -- Wait till its actually finished and at the General Public Availability stage - THEN you can compare browsers. |

As for the JPEGs, well, if it can happily display them when called by the page, I kinda expect it to handle them on their own. Just noticed, that last link (for IE 8) is screwed up. Try this www.imagef1.net.nz |
