| 872701 | 2010-04-06 02:31:00 | I couldn't get the 3G to work here so i had to use the USB cable to purchase books.The 3G isn't supposed to work here - Amazon only pays for mobile data in countries where it actually sells the Kindle - which isn't NZ :rolleyes:. And lack of inputs, would be nice to see a plug and play USB port so you can load up some books straight from the flash drive but you'd have to make the case thicker in order o put a usbMmm, this one is a cost thing I think - adding host-mode USB implies a lot of stuff that costs money to add, and also adds a fair amount of technical complexity. Sony puts SD & Memory Stick cardreaders on its readers, as do a few others, but I don't know of any who do host-mode USB (although iRex may have something that can - they don't exactly target the typical e-reader market). |
