The former can do what Kindle does, plus in a better way.Methinks you've never actually seen a Kindle... the point of a kindle is the e-ink screen (rather than LCD), and the insanely good battery life (measured in weeks unless you leave the wifi / network on). The iPad competes in neither of those areas. |

Lightweight,moderate hardware, lite applications, stripped down OS, far far far better capabilities. I for one insist on being able to navigate my files rather then having to access them through an app. |

| 872684 | 2010-04-06 00:20:00 | I could see me getting one - for my wife, who is so technophobic, it's not funny. She just needs email and surfing and a few games - that keeps her quiet for hours on the old laptop she has! And then I have to deal with the squawks when a prompt appears requesting some update action to some application or other (Flash or Java etc)... It's nice to be needed, but not when there's an unspoken accusation that somehow the laptop is poking fun at her lack of knowledge and it's somehow MY fault!! :lol: |

| 872685 | 2010-04-06 00:20:00 | Once again, Apple have made me happy about not using their stuff. That is good value, a shot of Apple feel-good for free. | R2x1 (4628) | ||
| 872686 | 2010-04-06 00:41:00 | More reason to save my money, I find my Nokia 6230 more user friendly than my E75. I guess I will just spend my money on intrepid travels and see more about life. |

| 872689 | 2010-04-06 00:46:00 | My Nokia E63 is quite friendly while being a bit inscrutable about certain matters; however, it does at all times retain it's refreshingly Apple-free charm. | R2x1 (4628) | ||
