871973 2010-04-02 04:58:00 I've got a myriad of usernames, first one I ever had was Ubergeek (after seeing it in the comic strip 'zits'). When I joined on here, Ubergeek was taken, so I went for Geekster.

When I joined trademe, Ubergeek was taken there too, so I chose Ubergeek85 (number doesn't mean anything, only went for it because the numbers are close together). This place is the only one where I still use Geekster.

Most of the time, I use Ubergeek85, or, occasionally, Geekster85.

Also have jesse.beer, but that's only for email. Story behind that is; when I was knee-high to a grasshopper, my mum got a kids book out from the library, and one of the charecters in it was a bear named Jesse (also my first name). So she called me that for years and years. I hated it, but the best I could do was to change bear to beer.

871974 2010-04-02 05:10:00 I thought it was a descriptive for the speed of your wit.

Aren't the two synonymous?

871975 2010-04-02 05:14:00 No real story behind my name - I was quite surprised such a generic name was available, so I registered it and the rest is history. somebody (208)
871976 2010-04-02 05:28:00 Mine's an acronym that I started using back when I was studying:

Nice
Old
FAshioned
Male

Just kind of stuck with it, partly because I never found it used elsewhere - and I guess I consider myself something of a renaissance man.

871979 2010-04-02 07:21:00 After the Jimmy Buffett song Twelve Volt Man about a guy Mike Nesmith found down Mexico way running a blender and record player off a twelve volt battery (playing Jimmy Buffett albums). Nesmith came back and told Buffett who wrote the song, one of my favourite songs.

Now I now this Joe down in Mexico
He went there to work on his tan
For years he's been plugged into blenders and songs
They call him the Twelve Volt Man

871980 2010-04-02 07:34:00 Bout 12 years ago I used to play LaserStrike every weekend with a bunch of mates. We had accounts and needed a game name. I have a long tongue (not far off the guinness world record) so someone suggested lizard. I've used it as my nickname ever since... Lizard (2409)
