Playtech's pre-order prices for the 6850 and 6870 are $400 and $500 respectively. They're designed to compete against GTX 460 798MB and 1GB, not the GTX 470 and 480. Just wait till the 6950 and 6970 comes out, they're the cards ATI will be rolling out to topple the GTX 470 and 480. |

The HD 6870 sits between the HD5850 and HD 5870 so is probably around the GTX470 level, definitely above the GTX460 and "possibly" a very good overclocker. |
