| 1145697 | 2010-10-17 21:32:00 | Probably cos nVidia cards support Physx at a wild guess. Not sure about the specs of Crysis 2 | SoniKalien (792) | ||
| 1145698 | 2010-10-17 21:35:00 | AMD Phenom 2 X 4 Model 955 DDR3 1333 at 4 gigs with a Diamond 5550 1 gig. It's a terible card. RAM is OK, CPU is even OK (unless you intend to play MSFSX which uses CPU more). Take a look at Tomshardware - the VGA charts - they rank them, best to worst. It does depend on what sort of games you want to play as to how good a card you need but if you are talking FPS games, then forget the 5550. |

| 1145699 | 2010-10-17 21:58:00 | The reason I ask is I'm going to build a computer with AMD Phenom 2 X 4 Model 955 which is a quad and runs at 3.2 gigs. DDR3 1333 at 4 gigs with a Diamond 5550 1 gig. I'm going to run it on a cheap 28 inch Monitor. I think that this can run any game out there but I want to make sure and that is why I ask. I really want this system to take 10,000 picture which I have in one file and drag and drop in folders and so forth. Whats that?...no GPU card I know of.....28inch monitor so thats HD which means mid to high end if you want smooth graphics |

I'm fond of the ATI Diamond Radeon Series. I'm thinking of DIAMOND ATI RADEON HD 5570 DDR3 1GB PCI Express Video Card? |

I'm in AZ USA and I figure I can spend $150 but I really don't want to spend more than that. Fry's electronic has some really good deals so I can get a different card but I'm not sure what specks to look for? |

| 1145705 | 2010-10-17 23:50:00 | CPU and RAM are OK, but I think you will want a HD5850 or better to play current\upcoming games on a 28" monitor. Take a look at some benchmarks such as Toms Hardware as pctek said. Then you'll get an idea what kind of performance you'll get out of each card at whatever resolution your monitor is. I don't think a HD5550 or even HD5570 will be that great. |
