| 873555 | 2010-04-10 06:52:00 | All good points Erayd - my original intention was to use Debian, as I know from playing with it recently that it has a role-based installer, so installing Apache/MySQL is a easy as ticking a few boxes so to speak . Was/am still very interested in Linux, but I'm a little worried about my lack of knowledge in that area compromising the delivery of the finished product . . . . . And I was certainly impressed with Aptitude once I got it working (behind an ISA Server with proxy challenge) . As yes, am fully aware of Access's SQL-to-Jet-Back-to-SQL silliness; I learned very quickly about pass-through queries once I needed to write multi-part union statements! |
