Just found this. and read on the dell specs it says E6000 series. So im thinking it would work and its 1066mhz

It's a Pentium Dual Core, not a Core 2 Duo. Well, it is based on the C2D architecture, at 45nm even if I remember correctly. Still wouldn't work on the Optiplex.

873216 2010-04-05 08:52:00 The chipset itself is electronically capable of taking on most if not all LGA775 CPUs to date - and that includes the Q9xxx quads. Your problem is whether or not he latest BIOS update support the newer CPUs. Contact Dell, that's your best bet to get some answers. qazwsxokmijn (102)
