872940 2010-04-05 04:04:00 Proxy does it just find an open proxy and use that. I'm sure the mods will slam me for this but it does work gary67 (56)
872941 2010-04-05 04:38:00 Difficult to do that when it is a minority interest programme that they are not going to release on DVD in the foreseeable future. Re Torrent - no-one seems to be interested in doing that for this programme. At least I haven't found them.

I just done a search and found loads of results. Loads

872942 2010-04-05 06:02:00 Um how did you do that? Are you a mind reader now? You don't even know the programme I am interested in! :stare: John H (8)

872944 2010-04-05 06:22:00 Have a look here (www.myp2pforum.eu), haven't tried it, but the last one they did worked :). davidmmac (4619)
872945 2010-04-05 08:39:00 The Gadget show is available at www.uknova.com

You will have to register. (free and well worth it.)

872946 2010-04-05 10:54:00 Hmmmm, that site was recommended on whichever genealogy list I subscribe to that talked about using a proxy server to get BBC iPlayer stuff overseas.

I tried to register there to get the BBC series I was interested in some weeks ago, and the response was that they had too many subscribers and they were closed for new registrations.

872947 2010-04-05 10:55:00 Just tried again and got the same response "The site is currently at its maximum user level - please try again later!" John H (8)
872948 2010-04-06 10:46:00 Just tried again and got the same response "The site is currently at its maximum user level - please try again later!"

It took me about 3 weeks of daily trying before I was able to register.

I told a guy at work about it and the tin-arsed b*st*rd got on first time !!!

872949 2010-04-06 11:30:00 Try www.thebox.bz

They have more stuff than UKNova.

And I can confirm that they have every episode of "The Gadget Show" available for download.

If you can't get it, keep trying.

If you want to watch a live broadcast, there are other options, depending what channel is screening it. Go to the forums on myp2p.eu and search there for 'British TV'. To be honest, it's a waste of time, unless it's a sporting event that you really want to watch live.
