They forced us to do this at a school camp. i.imgur.com Oddly enough I can empathise with RB. As a 14 year old I was a very good singer, puberty not yet having reduced my voice to rubble, as it is now, and I was cast as one of the three little maidens in Gilbert & Sullivan's Mikado, as put on by my all-boys Grammar school. The kimonos I could cope with, but the hair and make-up were a trial, especially with a three night run. Told my son about it once (bad decision) and he went all pale and has looked at me sideways ever since. Fortunately for me, movie cameras were very rare at that time, and digital cameras had not even been dreamt of, so after the final performance I was spared any flashbacks. Problem is, I still remember a fair proportion of the words and tune! Life can be cruel, but we survive. Cheers Billy 8-{) :horrified |
