| 872726 | 2010-04-04 07:21:00 | Any recommendations for a good mechanic in Wellington? (nothing special, just a routine service and WOF - oil change, brake pads may need replacing). The place I normally take my car is good, but they're a little bit out of the way, and with things likely to be hectic at work over the next couple of weeks I can't easily take time off to get my car out there and back. Edit: I work in the CBD, so somewhere in the city or a nearby suburb would be ideal. |

Very happy with them, though I can only base that on a single experience. $130 for a full service - oil/filter change, fluids & inspection. I paid an extra $30 to inpect the brakes and adjust the handbrake. I switched because my previous mechanic was too expensive ($64+GST/hr vs $55) and had a habit of undertaking major repairs (eg $880 clutch replacement) without calling to OK the job. |

I think is about $40-50 when we supplied the oil . So you could use $100 oils or what . . . :D WOF with no work perhaps around $50 as well :rolleyes: Not sure on fluids cos we never needed it topped up . They have done cop cars too . |
