872641 2010-04-04 05:20:00 You are asking the wrong crowd, plus no one here has touched one.
But I will be looking at getting one once the NZ price is revealed. I have heard reports of the competition, but their are nowhere to be seen

872642 2010-04-04 05:31:00 Well when they add the things that should have been on it then I think it will take off. I'm not saying it's bad I just think they rushed it and should have added things like 3g and capabilities to run more than one app at a time. Only time will tell, I guess the fanboys will rush out and part with their cash as the latest must have bragging toy. anyway it's just an oversize touch really. gary67 (56)

There is a 3g version.

872645 2010-04-04 07:18:00 The only good use I have seen for this thing so far is the 3G model for realestate work. The agent can access their office website, Trademe, Google Maps and Street View plus other related sites to show the client. Currently some of them use iPhones but the screen is way too small.. paulw (1826)
872646 2010-04-04 07:35:00 The introduction of iPad has now cast a shadow over Kindle's future, I must say. The former can do what Kindle does, plus in a better way.

Personally, I don't use Apple products, so I have got nothing to say regarding Apple iPad. However, I noticed that the initial negative remarks that were associated with iPad at the beginning have slowly turned into positive reviews for the latest Apple gadget. Maybe the marketing aura is changing the perception?

872647 2010-04-04 07:38:00 I'd buy it if it had a PROPER OS. iPhone, etc os is the wrong type of os for a device like this. Netsukeninja (13296)
872648 2010-04-04 07:51:00 Personally quite keen on it. I don't have an iphone but are contemplating one, but this seems almost like a good mix.

Also I've been crying out for a non keyboarded tablet for a while thinking the time is right. Not sure if I'm keen on the Apple OS, would prefer windows (since I can code), maybe android. Hoping HP will announce the release date of their windows 7 based one soon.
