| 1146659 | 2010-10-20 23:06:00 | In Microsoft Word, you have hit Ctrl + Enter and Ctrl + Shirt + Enter a few too many times. And any time you hit backspace it italicizes the words on the previous page and anytime you hit enter after a sentence it bolds the text in front of it.You take a look at it and it does the same on your computer. In other words, the file is bad and no longer formatting the way it should. What are ways to fix this document keeping in mind it is several hundred pages? (I have found that one way is to save it as another format and then re-save it as a doc file.) | coverby (16034) | ||

| 1146661 | 2010-10-21 03:18:00 | coverby, welcome to PressF1. That's a lot of pages ! First one is Page Break and second is Column BREAK If I hit backspace it deletes both and returns to original setting. Mostly use the free Open Office software package here and it's compatible with Microsoft. Will ask our daughter as she did her BA in Microbiology using 2003 and Open Office, not that she had hundreds of pages though, but a lot all the same. Lurking. |
