1146668 2010-10-20 22:41:00 Purchased 2 Family Packs (from Noel Lemming) to upgrade 4 PCs from Vista to W7 for a seniors computing group. Three of the installs went fine but the 4th one says it is an invalid product key.
Has anyone a phone/email address to contact MS NZ – tried their web site but gave up!!

1146670 2010-10-20 23:00:00 For the one that fails did you just boot off the DVD & choose a custom install and format the drive? If so, the installer treats it as a "Full" install not an upgrade install and what it is realyl saying is "Your product key is the wrong type for this type of install" inphinity (7274)
1146671 2010-10-21 03:51:00 Thanks you guys - after a few phone calls to MS the product key suddenly worked. Did nothing different to the other 3 computers that installed no prob!! Now wonder where the problem was…………….. stuffed (1469)
