2010-04-10 04:35:00 | All these cords are doing my head in! Can somebody explain what goes where please? I have got the sky operating ok. The sky has a scart connection. the tv has an audo/video in on the side (red, white and yellow) which is where I currently have the sky plugged in. the back of the tv has components 1 and 2 which I presume is where they get plugged in to. On the back the colours are just red and white and then red, blue and green, confusing. Please help tia Irene

2010-04-10 05:16:00 | the red, white and yellow inputs on the back are what you're after, dont worry about the other set of green, blue and red plugs, unless you have the cables that are those colours. just plug the sky into one set of 'INPUT' (red white yellow), then dvd into the 2nd set of 'input' (red white yellow), and so on.

2010-04-10 05:35:00 | thanks, but it is what goes where not just on the tv. presumably the sky has to get connected to the vcr to be able to access sky to record so where does they go into the vcr? Irene

2010-04-10 05:46:00 | My sky decoder has 2 scart out connectors on it. One goes to my TV and the other to my HD/DVD recorder. :)

If you do it that way you'll end up with a crap picture, use the component connections if at all possible, S-video as 2nd choice (tho you may not have these on your vcr), if you cant figure it out (can be quite complex), maybe somebody like these guys can help. yellow.co.nz (Red and white are audio (left and right channels), red/green/blue are component video, the small round connector with 5 pins is S-video,yellow is composite video (the worst)). |
