| 873946 | 2010-04-07 11:36:00 | The screen on my 6265 stopped working today, pulled it apart as much as I dared to without breaking it, and figured out that the problem was the ribbon cable running between the screen and the rest of the phone. After a bit of googling it seems to be a reasonably common issue. Managed to track a new cable down, less than $40 so that was alright. What I'm wondering is if anyone has taken one of these phones right apart before. I can get the screen out OK, and the keypad off but the ribbon flex cable runs under a bit of plastic, and i can't see any way to get it off short of forcing the cable under it. I know it's a bit of a long shot, but if anyone had pulled one of these apart before I'd be grateful to hear from you. |
