Paint on a wall causes no harm in itself, water bombing could cause a serious accident. The water evaporating is completely irrelevant to the driver of a crashed car. You're stretching things to try and explain why paint on a wall aggravates you sensible do-gooders to the point of stabbing people.

875090 2010-04-16 20:08:00 When you own a wall that is frequently played with by these charming little creatures, you may (just slightly) alter your views on what is, and is not, good clean fun.

"Making your mark on society" is not traditionally meant to involve aerosols. I realise these free spirits are proclaiming "This is who I am", but surely it would be a bolder statement if they did it at home on the front of their own house? This way, they are also declaring "This is where I am", allowing them to be fully appreciated for who, where, and what they truly are?

So warrants being stabbed to death then does it?

We've established that the "sensible" sentencing types on here think that the death penalty was warranted for graffiti and the perpetrator should have been "given a medal" apparently rather than sent to jail .

For some reason, same people don't think water bombing warrants the same penalty . Graffiti is an annoyance for sure, but so is having a water bomb thrown at your car .

Seems like the sensible types have moved on to trying to prevent anyone drinking alcohol in New Zealand, this is what you get when you let these people start to influence the laws of the country .

So what you're saying is that Darkstar having thrown his first water bomb and gone unpunished will now inevitably move on to throwing bricks off motorway bridges? Assuming he can find a motorway bridge in Timaru, how does that work?

No, what I'm saying is throwing water bombs at cars is bad, it can give the driver a big fright. Much the same as the person who dropped a brick off the bridge, that person obviously didn't think of the potential consequences either. Not saying he should be punished, but his comments of at least i'm not doing drugs clearly shows he hadn't thought of the potential consequences

Most teenagers don't think consequences through very well, I guess it is how much slack we give them to learn. I reckon Darkstar learnt something from this very web site.

It appears that now you are making assumptions as to what posters actually say.

You assume that darkstar09 will remain in Timaru. You assume that there will never be a motorway bridge in Timaru and more to the point you assume facts not in evidence.
