| 1146985 | 2010-10-23 00:50:00 | Can you give some examples? I wouldn't mind something like this myself.Here (en.wikipedia.org)'s a list of carrier gateways (all overseas as far as I'm aware). There are also many commercial services that will communicate with any number, not just to phones on a given carrier - NZ examples can be found here (www.net24.co.nz), here (www.juiced.co.nz) and here (www.message-media.co.nz). Many more are listed here (www.google.co.nz). If you have the time and inclination, you can also set up such a service yourself - all you need is a PC-connected cellphone or datacard, and any one of several SMS management applications with the necessary capabilities - Linux in particular has an excellent selection of software in this area. |
