| 874652 | 2010-04-10 05:58:00 | If we have a deep enough longdrop we'll all pee on Spain. That makes sense now :D Thats where the saying came from maybe ?? "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain" |

| 874655 | 2010-04-10 18:03:00 | Sorry Joe, but why is it that Americans use euphemisms for the toilet, it sounds childish, why not call a spade a spade? I've noticed people starting to do it in NZ too :horrified:illogical, seems to be contagious  . I really am sorry for you if you find a biological process not refreshing . There are medications that can help - or a good dose of Vegemite in lieu - not 'loo' . As far as the use of "restroom" is concerned, there's hope for you aboriginal and Brit cast-offs yet . You CAN learn to be nice if you will only allow it to happen . Stop fighting it and increase your interactive societal skills . The Queen Mum does NOT use a 'drop' of any sort; it would be Royally uncouth . Most biological processes are quite wonderful, with the exception of child birth, which I do not think is available to me at this late age . We find out heads particularly restful though - heated or air conditioned, brightly lit with at least chest high mirrors and HOT & cold running water and the use of medicinal papers* without splinters, advertisements on each sheet . The biggest benefit is that our restrooms don't have corn cobs without pieces of corn still attached nor rough leaves or the necessity of the Egyptian left handed digital "flip" . :waughh: There is actual soap to wash with and paper towels and/or heated hand driers for those who might be of such radical germicidal fanaticism . * Joseph Gayetty is widely credited with being the inventor of modern commercially available toilet paper in the United States . Gayetty's paper, first introduced in 1857, was available as late as the 1920s . Gayetty's Medicated Paper was sold in packages of flat sheets, watermarked with the inventor's name . Original advertisements for the product used the tagline "The greatest necessity of the age! Gayetty's medicated paper for the water-closet . " |
