873736 2010-04-06 21:37:00 I can still remember the MP, what was his name, Birch ? saying that we would all be getting cheaper power owing to all the competition.

Birch,a classic lover of the trough.

Bolger was another,he is still sucking from the cash cow teat, our tax's.

How do we describe them as human without pewking and mewling?

873737 2010-04-06 22:21:00 Surely you know that many words have been deleted from the electricity consortium official dictionary?
Some of the deleted words: add to, ascend , augment, boost, deepen, double, enlarge, enlargement, escalate, extend, grow, heighten, increase, increment, inflate, Inflation, intensify, magnify, multiply, raise, redouble, rise, run up, shoot up, step up, strengthen, upsurge, widen.
Punishment would be particularly serious for using those words in bold print.
Instead, those staff authorized to write to 'clients' must choose from this list: adjust, convert, correction, development, innovation, make over, merge, metamorphosis, modify, modification, recondition, reconstruction, refinement, reform, remodel, reorganize, replace, restyle, revision, revolutionize, substitute, transition, transform, translate, transpose, variation, vary.

How do those people sleep at night !

Its about time Gerry got serious and told the companies to reduce their prices by 10% fro the next few years to get them back to where they should be.

873741 2010-04-07 00:40:00 You are not going to get much change from the electricity providers.

But you can overcome it to some extent by...............

If you borrow $4000 and install a solar system,it will cost you $320 a year to service it,you will save more than that in electricity costs, and it will get better each year as price goes up.

Include $1000 gov. subsidy and it might be even better..
Worth doing sums and having a look!

Not only from the electricity providers but also the GOVERNMENT (National or Labour, doesn't matter - they are all the same).

873744 2010-04-07 19:08:00 Yeah and Gerry Brownlees (could have fund with that surname) will come on tv telling Genesis users to shop around.
That is a joke.
They may swap to another company and save a few dollars a month until that company puts their prices up ! which they will)
