1148134 2010-10-27 10:25:00 what would cause this
i was fixing a friends laptop
when it was plugged into the wall it worked fine
as soon as unplugged it lost power straight away
so i presumed it was faulty battery
i checked the connections etc but seemed fine
so got a price for one but lucky i didn't go ahead and purchase it because

i had to do a fresh install of windows 7 64 ultimate
once i finished install i checked the battery again
and it was working fine
what would cause this ???

1148135 2010-10-27 22:03:00 May have been a fault with windows' battery meter, possibly caused by a virus, the battery would've been full but the fault caused windows to think that it was empty, shutting it down when it reached a low % thats my guess. jareemon (5207)
