1147637 2010-10-25 20:42:00 I recently replaced a fan controller that had 2 dead sensors. www.diy-cooler.com It's the MY-0012 Model. Just got round to putting it in this week. If I run it on auto, occasionally the overheat beeper goes off & it glows red, just for a second or two. Even though all the temps are well under the alarm setting. So under in fact that the fans are still on slow speed. If I put it on low or medium this doesn't occur.
Now I'm not blaming the fan controller as the previous one would sometimes do this too, but I was hoping that getting a new one might have solved that problem as well.
I haven't given this one a work out yet but with the previous one the fault was very intermittent. Sometimes I could crank up Flight SimX & have the temps & the fans winding up & it wouldn't do it at all. Other times it would go off while just tying an email.
This unit controlls 2 120mm silent case fans & the auto sensor is attached to the CPU fan housing.

Most just had an alarm, which is fine if you are there at the time.
It's been going since 9am today without any problems.
