| 1147608 | 2010-10-25 19:24:00 | Partner who plays lots of games has a big HD with a heap of empty space. When I defragg it there are little bits of files all over it.Would it make any difference if I partition the drive down to nearer the size used after defragging ?At present it takes a long time to defrag. Also there are small unmovable fragments still scattered about the empty space, would it be possible to move these. There is not really a major problem apart from the slow defrag so it is not really a major to leave things as they are. |

| 1147609 | 2010-10-25 19:28:00 | Thats why. The bigger the partition the longer it'll take. What program aere using to defrag? Dont think so, if it says whatever cant be moved, it cant be moved | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1147612 | 2010-10-25 19:54:00 | Or Auslogics disk defrag. At least it can defrag more than 1 partition at the same time. Altho defraggler 2 when it comes out should be good. You'll be able to defrag before booting into windows | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1147616 | 2010-10-25 23:58:00 | You can schedule Defraggler to run when the PC is on but not normally being used like 4:00 am if you leave the PC on 24/7 like I do. | Snorkbox (15764) | ||
