876194 2010-04-16 08:26:00 Eww Windows Classic :angry

I use it too and I like it, AND it's readable, unlike Vista's crappy Segoe UI and font smoothing where it turns all your text into a blob because "you want it to be soft on the eyes"

Well, guess what, when I can't read it because it's a big blurry blob it's rather hard on my eyes, actually.

Microsoft are a bunch of idiots. My CRT makes my fonts naturally smooth to begin with. Font smoothing is only useful on an LCD and even then, only with Segoe UI anyway which looks like complete crap if you don't smooth it.

Good trick Microsoft, make a font that only looks nice if you smooth it, so that people will want to use smoothing. Too bad about all the fonts created before Vista that are actually perfectly usable (on both CRT and LCD and Paper) without any smoothing crap...

876195 2010-04-16 09:01:00 Actually the look is part of why I bought Vista in the first place. The default font looks fine. Classic looks ugly, even on XP.

Then again, I have a monitor worth using :D

And you can change the font without making the rest of the OS look ugly. ;)
