| 1147759 | 2010-10-27 23:17:00 | Im pretty sure that for a while Segate (& Others??) changed Warranty to 1 year for a brief period But realistically, The margin/profit in PC hardware is almost non-existent. Given the markup on that PC, I wouldn't exactly blame them for not wanting to split warranty up into separate components. 1 year PC warranty is pretty much standard, no Name brand PC company will give varying warranties on individual bits of hardware in a PC. You want 3 year warranty, by a PC with 3 year warranty AND pay the extra cost for it. Buy a cheap PC knowing its a 1 year warranty, DONT COMPAIN AFTER 2 YEARS bananna for you :banana |
