| 875830 | 2010-04-14 03:17:00 | I would like to see a mini series about US fighting the two years from the start of WW2 in 1939 to late December 1941. oh that's right they were to busy "profiting heavily" from the war while Brittan and her allies (that's NZ, Aus+) were trying desperately to stop Hitlers advance. Needless to say not a big fan of these American "how we suffered" mini series. If it wasn't for the Brits splitting Hitlers forces on 2 fronts, most Americans would be speaking German right now. |

Stupid Hitler attacked Russia broke rule 1, dont wage a war on 2 fronts. |
most Americans would be speaking German right now
Pretty obvious that American forces backed by their industrial might won the war. Hitler made some dumb mistakes as well, that's what happens when you have regimes like that. Britain did exceptionally well in Battle of Britain to hand on by a slender margin (with American help), but they were hardly in a position to invade Europe without American forces involved. |

Yes we know that but it's still damn hard to swallow your pride and let the Americans think they won it on their own, of course we needed their help no one denies that, it's when they deny anyone else was involved. The American vets don't think they won it on their own just stupid Hollywood and their over inflated egos |

Yourve been watching to much of the US save the day crap If Britain had fallen early in WW2 Hitler and allies would have been able to fight on only one front and take out Russia relatively easily, god "only" could help the US then because they sure as hell haddent woken up yet to start ramping up war production. Can you imagine Pearl harbour with the Germans already eyeing up Canada! Russia played a HUGE part of the counter offensive later in the war (mostly missed out in US history books and one sided movies). As a commonwealth country I find it sad to see the American perspective on WW2 is so readily accepted here. Which countries does the world owe the most gratitude, this is the real order. 1. Britain 2. Russia 3. US |
