1148330 2010-10-28 07:45:00 As part of the auto Windows update about a week ago the Live Essentials package was part of a recommended upgrade.

As Speedy has suggested, think I have tracked down the 2011 final version and things have a different look about them, but need to trial it for a day or so to see if it is stable.

Fake Microsoft Security Essentials is a Trojan

Many folks download Microsoft's anti-malware tool, Security Essentials, because it's free. Be careful if you do. A new Trojan is taking advantage of that to disguise itself as Security Essentials threat reports, with the intent of luring you into downloading and paying for a rogue security scanner.
