875624 2010-04-12 12:15:00 Do you have the negs or just the print?

As a rule of thumb you should only increase it 1x fold, could be more but it degrades. A software that might be on a demo, is Genuine Fractuals for resizing, v good algorithm.

With the scanners and esp with scanning the print, there is just so much resolution you can get. A flatbed scanner is a general purpose scanner and while it has this massive resolution, you may find that even with negatives, that it maxes out at 2,000 dpi. You can scan higher but it may not add any more detail but just file size (bloat).

Scanning the print - you may be limited by the paper texture and the ink dye. A print is not a negative.

Thanks for that S,most ....................
