2010-04-13 05:43:00 | What method is out there to store DVDs onto a computer (or a standalone device) and still be able to play by selecting the chapters? Am talking here about homemade DVDs not movies or any protected stuff.

2010-04-13 05:49:00 | Maybe make an .ISO out of the disk and then use something like Daemon tools (www.daemon-tools.cc) (the lite edition will do). It'll make it seem like there's another DVD drive attached to the computer, and you can then mount the .ISO, and play it as normal.

2010-04-13 05:52:00 | Just copy them across If they're proper DVD-Video style, then if you do that, it's harder to make a player recognize menus and chapters.

Am talking here about homemade DVDs not movies or any protected stuff. I would store them on an external H/D and put in a folder,as I do with about 150 films. |

2010-04-13 06:53:00 | Really? How do you get a player to load menus, etc from a normal directory? Just play the main file. Depending on WHAT program you're using, it may or may not show the menu / chapters on the left or right

2010-04-13 10:54:00 | I would use DVD Shrink to create smaller ISOs and just store them on an external hard drive. | xyz823 (13649) | |
