Ive just fried my El-Budget-O 1333 ram and looking for better, im running an overclocked system and the bios gives me the same SPD Timmings, i.e run the 2000CL9 at 1600Mhz with a CL7 or close enough, or Run the 1600Mhz with 2000Mhz cl9 timmings. just wondering what people think would be the most stable. cheers. Used for gaming and intesive applications, (try 18 open ie tabs, bsplayer, limewire, bittorrent at the same time.

Truth be told I don't think you'll notice any difference in speed in most normal everyday stuff, and will probably only get a couple of extra FPS in gaming. What CPU have you got? Because if it's an i5/i7 you'll probably be overvolting the onboard memory controller. |

when running crysis modern warfare, or even watching movies i notice a MASSIVE difference in speed when overclocking the memory from 1333 to 1600, and even in everyday use, as i run the computer to MAX the harddrives and memory lag something horrendus in standard mode, i have a i5 with gigabyte ud3 and it enables you to alter, vcore voltage independantly, i know there is speed to be gained, but i would like to know which people think would be more stable a 1600 overclocked or a 2000 underclocked. |

What do you mean more stable? Stability is when you OC something and don't get any freezes/errors/BSoDs!!! :p |

Whats the platform? if its an i7 it won't make much difference to banwidth so I would lean towards the low latency ram, although you might find they are essentially the same as the 2000 could run at the same latency as the 1600 if you downclock it, the JEDEC spec must include latency values for lower clocks, but the only way to find out what the ratings are would be to install the ram and run CPU-z |
