1148780 2010-10-30 02:48:00 While looking into my Irfanview problem I've rebooted several times and during the last few boots MS Essentials has popped up a "computer unprotected" message window showing at least one and sometimes two of the three facilities not running. If I click around a bit looking for answers it all seems to come right (three green lights) but I'm not sure that it will do that on its own if I just leave it alone.

Next time I'll disconnect from the web and see if it does finally start on its own.

I've done an update check but that was no help.

Any ideas?

Cheers

1148781 2010-10-30 03:17:00 One of the Wellington based ISPs has just completed an upgrade of their security, [unannounced] that has required comfirmation of re-settings. Do not suppose that applies to you? PENTIUM (426)

Unfortunately not, I'm on Xtra and I've had no notifications.

1148783 2010-10-30 03:21:00 If MSSE finally comes right, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Often if a PC is lower in spec's or a few things are loading on startup it can take a few moments for MSSE to load up and discover that it is in fact OK all along
