As we taxied off the end of our runway you could look back and see two other planes in a descent path (one nearly on the ground) for that same runway! At LAX, there's usually 12 or so on final landing approaches for 3 runways. Once I was cleared for takeoff in a light aircraft to maintain 100 feet altitude to the shoreline, and a heavy (747) cleared to take off over the top of me. And LHR can be busier than LAX! :2cents: |
