I am the current owner of the pressf1.net.nz domain. As it's up for renewal in three weeks (and I'm sick of paying for it), I contacted Fairfax a little over a week ago asking if they wanted it transferred to them - nobody has even done me the courtesy of replying to my email (typical Fairfax).
So - could I get some feedback from you guys as to whether we still want this domain, or can I just let it expire? |

Does it ever get used? if not I don't see a problem with letting it go |

Does it ever get used? That's half the problem - I don't know. It points at the PressF1 server, but unfortunately there's no way for me to tell how many people are actually using it to get here. |

Does it work when we lose connection to the pressf1 server? |

Certainly not trying to speak for others here, but I'd personally be happy to contribute to paying for its renewal, a la what we did with imagef1 - subject to whether it's actually required of course!! :) |

Could the domain be used for an alternative Pressf1 Forum when this forum goes down? |

Could the domain be used for an alternative Pressf1 Forum when this forum goes down?No - it's a domain, not a forum. It's simply another name that points at PressF1. |

It seems that all it does is redirect you to the main PressF1 site. If that is correct - and I think it is - then what is the point of paying for that? |
