| 1148983 | 2010-10-31 07:30:00 | So does the drop down BOX have .RTF? What file types does it have? anyway? And why would you want to do it as you have Word? And you can open a Word and Pub file and cut and paste between the two for example. Filetypes : Publisher ,pub (Various) Unicode Text Files : txt Postcodes : ps Thought I would try making a webpage in Publisher. Struggling a bit learning new things. Wondered if I would be better in a Word.doc then changing it to a pub file. One of the problems is getting rid of the text box outlines. PJ |

| 1148986 | 2010-10-31 07:47:00 | Next one...Can I tpe directly under a Picture, or do I have to use a textbox? PJ | Poppa John (284) | ||
| 1148987 | 2010-10-31 08:27:00 | If you are typing text it goes into a text box in Publisher. Pictures go into Picture boxes. Publisher is nothing like Word. Also the text box outlines do not show up when you Publish unless you put borders in them. |

| 1148988 | 2010-10-31 09:01:00 | PJ, In Publisher open a new file and create a number of test text boxes and leave gaps or hole for picture boxes. Open a big text file with far more info than will fit on the page and paste it into the first text box. You will then see a box with ... attached to the text box. Click in that ... and text that did not fit in the first box will auto flow into the next box. Keep clicking the ... until all the text is inserted into all the text boxes. Then put picture boxes in the gaps where text boxes are not and put put pics into them. Then click File, Web page preview, and you will see how it looks as a Web page. You can add pages and text boxes etc as needed. and Autoflow the text. |
