1148973 2010-10-30 23:26:00 Hi All.

XP Home SP3 MS Office Proff 2003.

When in a Word doc. I press Insert & put in a text box. I size the box to what I want. Then, properly, copy a picture into the box. It fits & does not overflow the box.

Now to a Publisher, open a new page. Go thro the same routine. But...The picture fills the whole page. Not the text box only. I tried resizing a picture but that didn't work either.

What am I doing Wrong? TIA PJ

PS Snorkbox...Just a little extra-curricular activity!! PM

1148974 2010-10-31 00:11:00 In Publisher if you want to insert a Picture you don't put it in a text box. Just insert picture and click inside the pic. You can then move the pic and or resize by dagging corners. Snorkbox (15764)

1148976 2010-10-31 01:09:00 Try right click on the picture once you've inserted it > Format picture > size > make sure you tick aspect ratio and put in the height or width of the picture you want in the appropriate box.

Handles should appear so you can drag n drop, resize, etc.

1148978 2010-10-31 06:09:00 Again...Is it possible to turn a .pub page into a .doc page" Thanks. PJ Poppa John (284)
1148979 2010-10-31 06:24:00 Publisher > File > Save As > Choose from the drop down list of files types.

This works in Pub 2007. Not certain about 2003.

The drop down does not have .doc listed. PJ

1148981 2010-10-31 06:35:00 So does the drop down BOX have .RTF?

What file types does it have?
anyway?

And why would you want to do it as you have Word?

And you can open a Word and Pub file and cut and paste between the two for example.

1148982 2010-10-31 06:46:00 It should have Word 2000 or other ... Save as Word XXXX and it should save as .doc (I think) .... 2010 has 23 different file types it can be saved as. SP8's (9836)
