| 1148960 | 2010-10-30 22:27:00 | Hi . Recently I installed a new driver for my 5870 video card, and since then I've only had problems . Loading videos on say, youtube, my computer will freeze for about 3-5 seconds, then come right - Sometimes . Sometimes, both screens will completely black out, come back after a few seconds, and the webpage will be all "messed" up . Another few seconds and all is back to normal . Then a message will pop up from ATI saying "VPU Recover" I thought it could have been overheating, but it's just sitting on around, 50c . The driver I installed was 10 . 10 . Is it just a simple case of a . . bad driver or something? If you need more info just ask . Thanks |

When I had 10.9 and played bejeweled, I couldnt select the options because hw acceleration was enabled. It kept stuttering / freezing. The 10.9 hotfix fixed it (even tho it wasnt for these cards). But then soon after 10.10 came out so I installed that (without the 10.10c hotfix). And its still fine |
