| 1149991 | 2010-11-03 04:54:00 | Hi there, I was wondering if someone could help me. I have an HP 65000 series printer connected to our wireless network. My Laptop was 'nuked' by our vendor as it had a million virus's and I am now unable to 'add a printer'. I go to Control Panel / Printers / add a printer. It finds the printer Ok and I click 'Install'. after about 30 seconds it comes up with a small window stating: "The Printer instalation failed. Operation could not be completed (0x00000643)." I googled this and it said it was a registry problem. I have no idea what a 'Registry' is - other than where some people go and get married - but it suggest I download 'RegSERVO' which I did. I ran this and it discovered heaps of 'errors'. I 'fixed' them with the Reg SERVO, restarted the laptop - but it has come up with exactly the same message. Can anyone help me please - 'cause this RegSERVO cost me about $50 and I don't want to waste it!!!! Tks Lance HAMILTON |

I would be very loath to use a reg fixer without finding out how well it works first. Have you tried installing the printers drivers from the CD that should have come with the printer? | gary67 (56) | ||
