1149677 2010-11-02 02:52:00 Hey all, new here but read your mag every month :)

I have this problem, every time i open my folder containing my movies it freezes and after about 10-15 mins it says Dr Watsons debugger has encounted a problem and must close, which it does after another 15 odd mins of just doing nothing, and i cant do anything else either while im waiting, cant click anything, the loading icon comes up when i place the cursor over the folder and also the start and task bars.

It has started coming up in the last week that my virtual memory is low. Could that be the problem? Do i need more ram? I only have 1g of ram atm.

I defraged my hd which didnt help ( not that i thought it would, but had to try something )

Help please :crying

1149680 2010-11-02 03:14:00 Go to folder options. Disable thumbnail view. See if that fixes it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1149681 2010-11-02 03:38:00 Still having troubles, got a little further though before it crapped out again and sorry i also forgot to mention that it also comes up with: Windows explorer has encounted a problem and needs to close :( agunzi (16061)
1149682 2010-11-02 04:11:00 Get hijackthis free.antivirus.com

Run it thern click on scan the system and save a log. Copy & paste the log here

We'll see whats in it. It looks like this is a common prob with XP (if theres a lot of video files in a folder)
