| 1149426 | 2010-11-01 10:13:00 | Hi all. got another problem. Have got a HP mini HP Mini 110-3117tu netbook. is the xp home version and cant get into OS. What im wanting to do is install a fresh copy of windows xp pro sp3 on it. BUT when i go to install it xp pro it says no harddrive found. I had a look in the bios and can see and options in there to changes setting on the hdd like i have on my Aspireone. Any ideas?? Do I need to nlite a hdd drive to the xp cd. Im using a USB dvd drive. Got no floppy drive. What driver do i need? Thanks |

| 1149427 | 2010-11-01 10:15:00 | You need SATA drivers. If AHCI is enabled in the BIOS (you need SATA drivers). If you dont want it disable it. Or get the drivers put them on a floppy, then add them during the install by pressing F6. Or slipstream them | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

Main | Security | Diagnostics | System configuration | exit under main you can change clock and date and look at Diagnostics log. under security there is administrator password <Clear> and Power-on Password <Clear>. under Diagnostics there is primary hard disc self test and memory test under System configuration there is language | Fan always on | Action keys mode | boot options. under exit you know the normal. also have downloaded that file you posted. |

I had a look in the bios and can see and options in there to changes setting on the hdd like i have on my Aspire one . Does it have a screen / option so you can see that the hdd gets detected? The only option it maybe under is the boot menu? |

But nothing like it on the Hp mini im working on. nothing on the main part of the bios about hdd. but has got cpu and ram and bios version and other numbers. HP mini 110=3000 and under boot order it only says Notebook Hard drive. |
