| 880182 | 2010-04-26 11:54:00 | Hi Guys A year ago everyone seemed to be into blogging. It was every where. It was also a way to make money. What do you think of blogs now ? Do you visit any on a regular basis ? |

| 880186 | 2010-04-26 12:12:00 | have a read of chill's blog everynow and then Thanks! I don't update mine as often as I should, though the last day or two has been a flurry of activity as I got mentioned on the FreeSWITCH homepage. I read them *lots* when I'm searching for a solution to an issue. Otherwise, not much to be honest. I'll occasionally come across one I like and then read back through a whole lot of old ones, but I don't often go back... |

| 880190 | 2010-04-26 18:35:00 | I read a few, the same ones as beeswax and others, e.g. Joe Tech, Digital Inspiration, Online Tech Tips, Search Engine blogs and SEO (search engine optimization) blogs. I do plenty niche blogging myself (now on my 14th blog) - but target the USA - as thousands more targeted searchers, branded products, and relevant search terms/phrases (keywords), and plenty blog forum/directories. Many blogs I believe have lost way a bit due to Youtube, social media, increase in authoritative blog/web and forum content and sites, and Google's "no follow tag" - prevents comments (and spam) on blogs to link to those trying to promote their own blog. Many bloggers are now promoting on twitter/facebook fan pages and are sooner learning SEO/monetization/content/rank visibility techniques (as evidenced by an huge increase in questions about how to increase blog visibility/traffic increase from blogging forums I'm involved with). Bloggers now have to work smarter/harder if they want to increase visitor engagement, search results rankings, visibility, and any conversions. I think blogs are still popular, but generally for the more longer standing blogs, and many USA online businesses use blogs (with twitter) to attract visitors to their static sites. Search terms with "blog" is searched about a 100 million times a month according to Google's keyword tool. (adwords.google.com) |
