879372 2010-04-23 09:24:00 Looks like they kept that quiet :)

From Wikipedia
On April 15 2010, Microsoft announced that Office 2010 had been released to manufacturing, with those Volume Licensing customers who have Software Assurance being able to download the software from April 27.

Downloading it Now - so any one with Technet (maybe MSDN) its available (www.imagef1.net.nz) both 32 & 64bit and actual sizes - beware of the fakes.

Stable release code 14.0.4763.1000

Interesting comment in the details section:
Instructions and Resources

Important: Microsoft strongly recommends the use of 32-bit (x86) versions of Office 2010, Project 2010, and Visio 2010 applications as the default option for all platforms.

879374 2010-04-23 09:50:00 Yup its because addons wont work with 64 bit. And some people are saying x64 Itunes (if you use it) doesnt work with it either. And you cant install x64, if you install x86, on a x64 system. And obviously, you cant install x64 on a x86 system.

And if you use / install x64 Sharepoint, its not fully compatible with IE 7, IE8 x64, if you use IE x64. Or Firefox

879375 2010-04-23 12:43:00 Download queued, I wonder if it's already cached locally, or if it's gonna be slow for me :(

Edit: Nup, slow as hell ... Gonna fire up IE and use the MS Download manager.

879376 2010-04-23 20:51:00 Hooray! (Another chance to save real $$ by not buying a product I don't want.) Lots of work for techs coming up. R2x1 (4628)
879377 2010-04-23 21:06:00 The promotional video says "No more Ctrl + Alt + Del"! :p Renmoo (66)
879378 2010-04-23 21:20:00 The promotional video says "No more Ctrl + Alt + Del"! :p

On my netbook I can use Fn-F6 instead :p

Might stick with Office 2007 for now, until I see a killer feature.

879380 2010-04-24 00:24:00 Why is it showing up as 3GB on Bittorrent?

I don't have a Technet account, so if I want to see what it's like...

Have they made it so the Open\Save buttons are easily accessible and not hidden away on a second start menu?

879381 2010-04-24 02:04:00 I can't even install the beta. It goes to step 2 then says something about Tp: download thread exceptional.

Absolutely no idea how to fix this

I even tried uninstalling office 2007.

Oh man. not another fail piece of software
