| 1149880 | 2010-11-03 03:00:00 | Yeah it's great, installs OK on pretty much everything. Or, just get the zip package otherwise. In Server 2008 you may need to right-click on the executable, go into the properties, and allow it to be run, depending on your server settings of course. There's additional details down the bottom of that page too which help with getting XYZ setup. For internal stuff, it's ideal, quick to install, quick to pack down and move around ... :D |

| 1149881 | 2010-11-03 09:50:00 | One thing with XAMPP, its easy as hell to set up, but in its default state, it has no passwords anywhere. Make sure you fix that before it goes into production. Other than that, it's a great pre-rolled windows server setup. Also, only install/run what you need, so you might want to skip the TomCat, OpenSSL, FTP, and Mercury Mail options. |

Now part maybe my dumbest question ever, but here goes.....So, are there templates to create forums etc, or is all that created....I dont know!, only ever updated web sites, never done any building of design...where do I go from here...the docs dont really give any info on that! |
