| 1150073 | 2010-11-03 19:07:00 | You need the HS1100 in that case. It'll set you back a couple of hundred to get setup, but it'll do everything you want, and more! It's *built* to do things like what you're asking, and it's incredibly easy to use the thermal printer to select the "Plan" you want to offer the current client. Just hit "Print" and it automatically creates a username / password for the user to use in the Captive Portal in the HS1100. You can also specify in the HS1100 if you want the wireless / clients segregated from everything else. It also requires no software, anywhere :) |

| 1150075 | 2010-11-03 22:31:00 | AFAIK they use open-source projects such as Coova Chilli and the likes. It's also not quite as nice a "packaged" and "total" solution as the NetComm HS1100 and Thermal Printer. Honestly once you've seen how it works, you'll be sold on it. It *is* a bit of an investment, I think they're around $600 -> $800 all up including the printer, but it means you don't need any form of PC or special till system, it's incredibly easy, and yeah ... :) |
