1149631 2010-11-02 01:50:00 The easiest way would be if it had a card reader. And if youre using a digital cam with a memory card. Then you wont have to scan themI have a digital camera and card reader but that won't help me. These are old black and white photos that I want to save and put on a DVD. Nothing is easy eh.? Scan the old pics into a folder, label the pics and burn that folder or pics straight to DvD as you normally burn stuff. Basically what you have been doing so far I guess. That's the easiest way I can think of.

You mean renaming the pics as they are scanned? Only way I can think of is right-click and choose "rename" once they are scanned.

1149636 2010-11-02 03:44:00 If you have your photos in Picassa the easist way is to click each thumbnail to highlight it then right click the t/nail. From the drop down menu, select "View & Edit". The window that opens will allow you to do all sorts of basic editing of the image before putting it into a folder prior to burning but additionally you can click "Make A Caption", bottom centre of the image. then type in a Title for your photo. This should appear on the burnt image. I think this is what you meant by naming your photos. If you haven't fot Picassa , it's a free download. willbry (1555)

I will try it that way. Pato (2463)
1149638 2010-11-02 04:39:00 If you have the negatives to the photos and your scanner can scan negatives do it that way, or take photos of them with a digital camera.

1149639 2010-11-02 04:47:00 And ensure the file names are ordered in the order you want them to appear like for example 000001JPG 000002JPG etc. Snorkbox (15764)

:)They are very old photos and I think I would loose a lot of definition by doing it that way. It's a thought though.
