| 1149586 | 2010-11-02 02:50:00 | OK I just created another spreadsheet and I get Labels on the Chart as expected like Nov-2010 etc. Either the location is not set correctly in Region, CP or when you do the custom mask you are changing the location there. |

Can you clarify your data entry I have check Control Panel and settings are correct NZ dates correct etc. XP with Office 2007, also Win 7 Office 2010 I have just redone it I typed "OCT 2005" etc DID NOT format but checking states format custom mmm.yy I tried it both ways Dates in the row then dates in the column Select and column chart gives x axis as Jan 2005 etc |
