1150300 2010-11-04 09:00:00 I reckon that the ASUS Eee is the best in terms of value for money and build quality. I recently bought a 1001PX for $460 and dual booted XP with Ubuntu Netbook. johnd (85)
1150301 2010-11-04 21:42:00 +1 on the ASUS eee series

I've used the 1005PE and now own the 1015PED. Great netbooks. Best feature is the 9-13 hour battery life. Build quality excellent.

Their latest series 1015PEM should be even better. Atom N550 dual core and still able to deliver the long battery life.

1150306 2010-11-07 08:31:00 Yes if running XP or Linux. Maybe more if W7. johnd (85)

Even with W7 it's fine. I have an Acer Aspire One D250 with 1GB RAM running W7 + Office 2k7 and it runs happily.
